While regular smoke alarms just make a noise in the presence of smoke, Life Alert ® smoke detection units react to the presence of smoke or fire by sending a signal to our team of dispatchers, who monitor each detector 24/7. Our dispatchers can then communicate with the subscriber hands free and send appropriate help. They can also send help if the subscriber doesn’t respond.

If the batteries become low, Life Alert®’s monitoring center will receive a signal and call the subscriber when it’s time to replace them.
